About Siena

With a mom who could never stop singing her to sleep and a dad who used to DJ in his spare time at school, Siena Mehta always had artistic blood running through her. Growing up under the saffron-yellow sun of Orange County, Siena spent a lot of my time looking at the beach and drinking one too many matcha lattes. Something about being by the beach fueled her love of daydreaming and imagining the only place that Siena felt she fit in – theater.   Her first exposure to theatre was in the 6th grade when she went to a community theater to watch Beauty and the Beast – and just like that she was hooked.  Ever since that day, Siena realized she had an immense connection to theater and couldn’t imagine a life without it.  By the time she was a senior in high school – she had performed in countless plays and musicals, and directed a production.  Being at UCLA has taught her to own her voice and has given her the ability to feel comfortable in her own skin. Siena grew up watching the popular teen shows and films that rarely represented the East-Indian community and those who looked like her. Her dream is to collaborate and create characters that celebrate and spark life in her while inspiring brown people of the world. She hopes to either stay in LA or move to New York City after graduation to continue growing as an actor and artist (with a latte in hand at all times, of course).
